Richard Spriggs is an accomplished Animation Supervisor with over 18 years of experience in high-end visual effects for film and television. He has played a key role in some of the industry's most iconic productions, including Game of Thrones, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. His expertise in character and creature animation, coupled with his leadership in supervising animation teams, has made him a sought-after talent in the VFX industry.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alberta College of Art and Design and a certification in Computer Animation from Sheridan College, Richard began his career in 2007. He worked with leading VFX studios, including Soho VFX and Starz Animation, before moving to London in 2010 to join the Moving Picture Company (MPC). There, he contributed as an animator to major feature films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2, Wrath of the Titans, John Carter, and World War Z.

Richard was promoted to Lead Animator at MPC, where he worked on blockbuster titles like Man of Steel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Godzilla, and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. After relocating to MPC Vancouver, he took on leadership roles in Goosebumps and was promoted to Animation Supervisor in 2016, overseeing animation on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Sully, and Alpha.

In 2018, Richard joined Image Engine as an Animation Supervisor, bringing his extensive experience to the studio’s high-profile productions. He has since worked on Game of Thrones, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, Bloodshot, Project Power, and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. His recent work includes Swan Song, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, 3 Body Problem, the Gorge, and the upcoming project titled Murderbot.
